Kollam G. K. Pillai was born on August 29, 1934, in Sankaramangalam, Chavara, and died on January 30, 2016.

He was an Indian film actor in Malayalam cinema.

Kollam acted in more than 50 films.

Participating in character roles and comedy roles during the 1970s and 1980s.

Pillai was a theater artist turned movie actor.

Kollam G. K. Pillai entered into the field of dramas in 1950 through school festivals.

He grew active in the theater with the famous drama Dahajalam in 1962.

Pillai has taken part in many famous dramas, more than 4000 stages; these dramas include Dahajalam, Neethipeedam, Rajadoothu, Ayiram Arakkilam, and Accident.

The movie Masappady Mathupillai (1973), directed by A. N. Thampi, was his debut movie.

Pillai performed in many television serials as well.

He was not working in movies for a very long time because he had lost his sight.

Born in Kollam to his parents Ammachiveedu Radhabhavan K.P. Gopalakrishnan and Kunjiyamma.

His wife was Madhavikuttiyamma and they had had four children, Jayasree, Ushakumari, Vijayasree and Bindusree.

Kollam G. K. Pillai passed away at 82 yrs old at his daughter’s house Oyoor in Kollam due to age-related sickness.
