Kim Jong-nam was born on May 10, 1971, and died on February 13, 2017.
He was the eldest son of Kim Jong-il, leader of North Korea from 1994 until 2011.
From 1994 to 2001, Kim was considered to be the heir to his father and the next leader of North Korea.
Following a much-publicized botched attempt to enter Japan using a fake passport and visit Tokyo Disneyland in May 2001, he was thought to have fallen out of favor with his father.
From around 2003 onwards, he has lived in exile outside North Korea.
Kim Jong-nam’s younger paternal half-brother Kim Jong-un was named heir apparent in September 2010.
While in exile, Kim became known as an occasional critic of his family’s regime and an advocate for reform.[3] Kim Jong-nam died in Malaysia, in February 2017, under suspicious circumstances.
Which was believed that he was assassinated supposedly by North Korean agents, carried out when two women at the airport injected him with poison.
Jong-nam was believed to be traveling under the name of Kim Chol at the time.
Kim Jong-nam passed away at 45 years old.
