Kenyan Roman Catholic prelate, John Njenga, Died at 89

Archbishop Emeritus John Njenga was born on December 25, 1928, and died on November 4, 2018.

He was Roman Catholic archbishop of Mombasa Diocese from 1990 to 2005.

He was destined to Peter Kimani and Maria Wanjir in Tigoni, Kiambu District, Kenya.

John Njenga also went to Mangu High School.

He was appointed minister at Kibosho Major Seminary in Tanzania in 1957, and was presented on the Nairobi Diocese.

In 1970 he was appointed Bishop of Eldoret, and in 1988 Bishop of Mombasa, getting to be Archbishop two years later.

Njenga was President of the Kenyan Episcopal Conference, a changeless association of Roman Catholic religious administrators in Kenya, from 1976 until 1982.

Ecclesiastical overseer Emeritus John Njenga died on Sunday fourth November 2018 at 11:45 hrs.

John Njenga passed away at 89 years old.
