Kenneth Yen


Taiwanese entrepreneur Kenneth Yen was born on May 23, 1965, in Taipei, Taiwan and died on December 3, 2018.

Yen was recognized as one of the richest people in the world.

Yen Ching-ling and Vivian Shun-wen Wu were his parents.

Yen when to secondary school at Tsai-Hsing High School in Taipei’s Muzha District and later went to boarding school at The Pennington School.

Yen attended Rider University in the United States where he studied business administration.

Yen also received an honorary business degree from St. John’s University.

Yen returned to Taiwan to lead the China Motor Corporation and Yulon, his family’s business in 1986.

He was officially named the chairman of Yulon in August 2007.

He had one daughter, Michelle, and a son, John, with wife Chen Li-lien.

Kenneth Yen passed away at 53 years old due esophageal cancer at Taipei Veterans General Hospital.
