Kenneth Langstreth Johnson, born on March 19, 1925 and died September 21, 2015.

Kenneth was a British engineer and Fellow of Jesus College, Cambridge.

He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1982 and won their Royal Medal in 2003 “In recognition of his outstanding work in the field of contact mechanics.”

In 1999, Kenneth won the William Prager Medal awarded by the Society of Engineering Science.

He was also awarded the 2006 Timoshenko Medal.

Kenneth L. Johnson died on September 21, 2015.
