Most Rev. Kenneth Anthony Angell was born on August 3, 1930, and died on October 4, 2016.

He was an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church.

He served as Bishop of Burlington from 1992 to 2005.

He attended public elementary schools in East Providence, then he studied at Our Lady of Providence Seminary in Warwick and at St. Mary’s Seminary in Baltimore, Maryland.

He was ordained to the priesthood on May 26, 1957.

Angell then served as parochial vicar at St. Mark Church in Jamestown and at Sacred Heart Church in Pawtucket.

When he completed serving at St. Mary’s Church in Newport, Angell then received his first pastorate at St. John’s Church in Providence.

Kenneth Anthony Angell passed away at 86 years old.
