Kem Ley, Cambodian political analyst, Died at 45

Kem Ley was born on October 19, 1970, and died on July 10, 2016.
He was a Cambodian political commentator and activist. H
Ley was known for his political commentary, including trenchant criticisms of the current government.
He had been in the middle of his “100 days with Khmer Families” campaign which he spent time staying with the rural families to dig even more deeply to find out the root causes of the many issues facing Cambodia today.
Kem also was on his series writing on his Facebook Page.
His works includes a 90-episode political articles he called it comedies.
Ley has just finished his 19th episode before his assassination; briefings of new findings during his 100-day campaign, and another story he named, the “Black Man in a White Shirt”.
Kem also criticized the government over illegal lodging, border issues, and corruption.
A few days before his assassination, he was approached by a variety of local and international press to ask for his comments on the Global Witness report attacking Hun Sen’s family.
The headliners called it, “Hostile Takeover: The Corporate Empire of Cambodia’s Ruling Family.”
Ley was shot dead at a petrol station in Phnom Penh.
Kem Ley passed away at 45 years old.
