Karol Machata was born on January 13, 1928, in Malacky, Czechoslovakia, and died on May 3, 2016, Bratislava, Slovakia.

He was best known for Kohút nezaspieva (1986), Clean Handed (1956) and Young Hearts (1952).

Known for productions such as Sladkovicova Marina ( 1948), James Laholovom assassination (1949) and Fortinbras in Hamlet, Shakespeare (1950), in which played even as a student , drew attention to himself great portrayal of the theater stage in Martin.
