Kalika Prasad Bhattacharya was born in 1970 and died in 2017.

He was an Indian folk singer.

Kalika was born and raised in Silchar, Assam.

Kalika Prasad Bhattacharya went on to study comparative literature at Jadavpur University.

Bhattacharya’s musical inspiration was his uncle Ananta Bhattacharya.

Bhattacharya co-founded the band Dohar with the intent to revive the folk music tradition of Northern and Eastern Bengal, in 1999.

Bhattacharya also contributed music to a number of movies.

Kalika died in a road accident in Hooghly district Gurap village.

Kalika Prasad Bhattacharya passed away at 47 years old.
