Junius Foy Guin Jr. was born on February 2, 1924, in Russellville, Alabama, and died on November 8, 2016.

He was a United States federal judge.

He was in the United States Army during World War II from 1943 to 1946, serving as an infantry officer and achieving the rank of Lieutenant.

Junius received a J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1947, and was in private practice in Russellville, Alabama from 1948 to 1973.

Guin received an A.B. from the University of Alabama in 1975.

On March 20, 1973, Guin was nominated by President Richard Nixon to a seat on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama vacated by Clarence W. Allgood.

He was then confirmed by the United States Senate on April 10, 1973, and received his commission on April 18, 1973.

Guin assumed senior status on February 3, 1989.

Junius Foy Guin Jr. passed away at 92 years old.
