Josef Augusta, Czech ice hockey player and coach, Died at 70

Josef Augusta was born on November 24, 1946, and died on February 16, 2017.

He was a Czechoslovak ice hockey player and coach, and a silver medalist from the 1976 Winter Olympics.

Augusta was the father of former hockey player Patrik Augusta.

Augusta was the head coach of the Czech national hockey team at the 2002 Winter Olympics and the World Championships in 2000, 2001 and 2002.

His Czech team won gold medals in 2000 and 2001.

Josef died from pancreatic cancer.

Josef Augusta passed away at 70 years old.
