Jorge Lepra Loiodice was born in 1942 and died on January 5, 2016.
He was an Uruguayan diplomat and political figure.
Jorge Lepra pursued a business career, including work for Texaco, prior to entering politics.
He was politically independent.
Jorge Lepra served as Uruguayan Minister of Industry from March 2005 until March 2008, in the government of President of Uruguay Tabaré Vázquez.
Jorge resigned from that post to take up a diplomatic appointment and was succeeded by Daniel Martínez.
From March 2008, Mr. Lepra has served as Uruguayan Ambassador to Paris, France.
Jorge Lepra passed away at 73 yrs old.
