Jonathan Moore, American academic and State Department official, Died at 84

Jonathan Moore was born on September 10, 1932, and died on March 8, 2017.

He was United States Director of the Bureau of Refugee Programs from 1987 to 1989 and United States Representative to the United Nations Economic and Social Council from 1989 to 1992.

Moore was educated at Dartmouth College, receiving a bachelor’s degree in 1954 and at Harvard University, receiving an MPA in 1957.

Moore returned to the John F. Kennedy School of Government in 1992, becoming an associate of the Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy.

Jonathan Moore passed away at 84 years old.
