John Derrick, Welsh cricketer, Died at 54

John Derrick was born on January 15, 1963, in Cwmaman and died on March 22, 2017.

He was a Welsh cricketer.

He played for Glamorgan.

Derrick also spent some time in New Zealand with Northern Districts.

Later, he became coach of Glamorgan and led them to National League victory in 2002 and 2004 as well as overseeing their promotion to Division One of the County Championship.

Derrick suffered a stroke in 2016 and was found to be suffering from a brain tumour.

John Derrick passed away at 54 years old.
