John C. Yoder was born on January 9, 1951, in Newton, Kansas and died on June 9, 2017.
He was an American judge and politician.
He received his bachelor’s degree from Chapman College and his law degree from University of Kansas.
He also received his master’s degree in business management from University of Chicago.
He served as a Kansas District Court judge, from 1976 to 1980.
During 1980 and 1981, he served as a judicial fellow with the United States Supreme Court and as a special assistant to the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court from 1981 to 1983.
Yoder then served as director of the Asset Forfeiture Office within the United States Department of Justice in 1983 and 1984.
He lived in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia.
He served in the West Virginia Senate and was a Republican, from 1992 to 1996 and from 2004 to 2008
From 1996, 2000, 2010, and 2012, he ran for a seat on the West Virginia Supreme Court and lost the elections.
During 2008, he was elected to the West Virginia Circuit Court and was serving on the court at the time of his death.
