James “Jim” Ray Hart was born on October 30, 1941, and died on May 19, 2016.

He was a third baseman in Major League Baseball.

From 1963 to 1973, Hart played for the National League’s San Francisco Giants and the American League’s New York Yankees in 1973 and 1974.

Jim batted and threw right-handed.

He had 12-season, Hart posted a .278 batting average, with 170 home runs and 578 runs batted in (RBIs) in 1,125 Major League games played.

Then after his release from the major leagues in 1974, Hart played in Mexico before retiring from baseball in 1976.

Later Hart joined the Teamsters as a Warehouseman for Safeway Stores in Richmond, California, and later to Tracy, California, when operations moved there in 1992.

In 2006, Jim Ray Hart retired from Safeway.

Jim Ray Hart passed away at 74 yrs old.
