Jim Ayson was Born on April 16, 1962, and died on November 9, 2015 due to a heart attack.

He was a Filipino Internet pioneer and journalist.

Jim was known as James “Jim” Ayson, and he was a hardcore Blue Eagle.

Jim Ayson attended the Ateneo de Manila University, where he obtained his degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Management.

His parents Romulo Ayson and Yolanda Dycaico Ayson.

Jim was one of the first tech writers in the Philippines, writing columns for some the country’s earliest IT publications.

He first worked for the Metropolitan Computer Times, the county’s pioneering tech magazine, where he wrote a column titled “Over A Stack of Diskettes.”

Mr Jim Ayson was the creator of PhilMusic.com.

Jim was the winner in the recently held Philippine Webby Awards, having been adjudged as Best Music Website and Web Site of the Year.

Jim also spearheaded the largest and most active mailing list in the country, the Philippine Cyberspace Review (PH-Cyberview), which is slowly gaining ground as the prime medium of communication and exchange of news and ideas among Filipinos in the industry.

He was the head of Smart Communications’ Internet and Media Partnerships, he was once named as one of the Internet’s 10 most influential Filipinos by The Web Philippines.

Jim also created PhilMusic.com, the country’s longest-running music website.

He left his wife Chette and daughter gabby behind.
