Jean-Marie Doré was born on June 12, 1938, and died on January 29, 2016.
He was a Guinean politician.
He was the Prime Minister of Guinea from January 2010 until December 2010.
Jean-Marie was the President of the Union for the Progress of Guinea (UPG).
He was the opposition leader for years before being chosen to head a transitional government that was in place during the development and execution of the 2010 presidential election.
Alpha Condé won the presidential election in a controversial and hotly contested second round of voting, he took office as President of Guinea on December 21, 2010.
Jean-Marie Doré then presented his government’s resignation to Condé, who accepted it on December 22.
Minister Condé gave warm praise for Doré’s government, saying that it had done an excellent job of paving the way for a free and fair election and facilitating a largely peaceful transfer of power.
Around the September 2013 parliamentary election, Mr.Doré was elected to the National Assembly.
He was one of the oldest deputy (doyen d’âge) in the National Assembly, minister Doré presided over the election of the President of the National Assembly on 13 January 2014.
Jean-Marie Doré passed away at 77 yrs old in Conakry.
