Jan-Öjvind Swahn, Swedish ethnologist and writer, Died at 90

Jan-Öjvind Swahn was born on May 15, 1925, in Karlskrona, Blekinge County, and died on March 21, 2016, in Brösarp, Skåne County.

He was a Swedish folklorist and associate professor.

He worked in ethnology at Lund University since 1955 and in folklore at the Åbo Akademi University (1977-1992), the title of professor in Finland in 1982.

Jan-Öjvind Swahn was the brother of Sven Christer Swahn and was editor in chief of Good Books Help (BBL) (1984-1996).

He debut on television in 1958, on the program of Lundakarnevalen, and in radio, he debuted at age 15, in 1940.

Himself along with Edward Bloom one of the two leading figures in Edward Blom Feast of TV8.

Jan-Öjvind Swahn passed away at 90 yrs old.
