Jan Grabowski, Polish speedway rider, Died at 66

Jan Grabowski was born on May 27, 1950, Myślibórz, Poland and died on February 13, 2017, Zielona Góra.

He was a Polish speedway rider.

Jan represented Falubaz Zielona Góra, from 1970 to 1980.

He played with the team, twice won bronze medals at the Team Speedway Polish Championship in 1973 and 1979.

After his career, Grabowski began working as a youth coach in Zielona Góra.

During 1985, Grabowski became the trainer premier of Falubaz and in the same season, he won with his team the title of Team Speedway Polish Championship.

Falubaz then won another medal, a silver medal, coached by him in 1989.

While he was a coach, Jan also led, among others, ŻKS ROW Rybnik and KM Ostrów Wielkopolski (again, from November 2010 to his death.)

Grabowski was the first coach of, among others, Piotr Protasiewicz, a multiple medal-winning international speedway rider.

Jan Grabowski passed away at 66 years old.
