Jan C. Dolan, American politician, Died at 89

Jan C. Dolan was born on January 15, 1927 and died on November 1, 2016.
She was a Republican member of the Michigan House of Representatives from 1989 through 1996.
She graduated from the University of Akron and worked as a hospital dietitian.
She won election to the Farmington Hills city council in 1974 and served for 14 years.
Dolan was mayor on two occasions. Dolan won election to the House in 1988.
When she left the House, she continued as a member of several community organizations.
In May 2016, the City of Farmington Hills honored her with the Nancy Bates Distinguished Public Servant Award.
She died of respiratory failure.
Jan C. Dolan passed away at 89 years old.
