James Douglas was born on May 20, 1929, in Los Angeles, and died on March 5, 2016.

He was an American actor.

James was well recognised for his role as Grant Colman on As the World Turns (1974–81, with return appearances in 1986 and 1989).

Douglas first big role came in 1964 when he joined the cast of the primetime soap Peyton Place, playing the role of Steven Cord.

In 1969, he came off the air when the show ended.

James at one point stuck mainly to daytime roles, appearing as Elliott Carrington on Another World from 1972 to 1974.

Douglas then moved to As the World Turns.

James Douglas also appeared on the show ‘The Edge of Night’ in 1984 and on One Life to Live as Dr. Marcus Polk (1985–87).

James Douglas passed away at 86 yrs old.
