James B. Wallace, American oil executive, Died at 86

James B. Wallace was born on March 23, 1929, and died on November 5, 2015.

He was an American oil executive, know as Denver oil and gas man, former chairman and CEO of Grease Monkey International Inc.

James attended the University of Southern California, where he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

The Californian born, was one of the four founders of Brownlie, Wallace, Armstrong and Bander Exploration in Denver.

After James had served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War, he spent 17 years working in the oil business in Texas, then Wallace and his associates moved their oil and gas company to Denver in the 1970’s.

James also served on the boards of Delta Petroleum, Ellora Energy and Savant Resources and he was once the honorary lifetime chairman for the Boy Scouts of America.

He entered the Hall of Fame in 2004 and 2010.

James was a reputable member of Cherry Hills Country Club, the University Club and Christ Episcopal Church in Littleton.

He survived by his wife Lucy and has four sons, John, Tom, David and Mark.

James B. Wallace passed away at age 86 on November 5, 2015.
