Jacky Sutton, British journalist, Died at 50

Jacky Sutton was born in 1965, and died on October 18, 2015 at age 50.

Jacky Sutton was the acting director for the London-based Institute for War and Peace in Iraq.

It was reported that she was found dead in Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport.

Sutton was found hanged in a toilet cubicle in Istanbul airport.

Jacky was associated with humanitarian organizations and the United Nations as well as working as a producer for the BBC.

She describes being detained as a spy while reporting from Eritrea in the late 1980s, she said in an article on her career.

Jacky also said, she narrowly avoided being killed in a bombing attack in Baghdad while working for the UN.

Sutton was studying for a PhD at the Centre for Arabic and Islamic at the Australian National University in Canberra.

She spoke 4 languages, including Arabic.

Jacky Sutton passed away on October 17, 2015.
