John David Molson was born on June 1, 1928 and died on May 8, 2017.

He was a Canadian businessman.

John was a son of John Henry Molson and Florence Hazel Browne.

Molson received his educated in Montreal and then in Brussels (1948-1950), he joined Molson Breweries Limited in 1949 and he also held various positions until appointed vice-president in January 1964.

Molson was a President of the Montreal Canadiens from 1964 until 1972.

He succeeded Hartland Molson and was succeeded by Jacques Courtois.

He got married to Claire Faulkner in 1955 with whom he has two sons (John Henry and David Hugh) and one daughter (Catherine Elizabeth).

Molson won 5 Stanley Cups with Montreal in 1965, 1966, 1968, 1969, and 1971.

J. David Molson passed away at 88 years old.
