Israeli politician, David Azulai, Died at 64

David Azulai was born in May 1954, in Meknes in Morocco, and died on October 30, 2018.

He was an Israeli politician.

Azulai was appointed a member of the Knesset for Shas for over 20 years from 1996 and 2018.

David Azulai was also Minister of Religious Services from 2015 until 2018.

His family immigrated to Israel in 1963.

From 1973 to 1993, David Azulai worked as a teacher and vice principal.

He died after a long-term battle with cancer.

The illness had also forced him to resign from the Knesset early in the year.

Azulai’s son Yinon, who succeeded him in Knesset, is among those rumored to be candidates to take Azulai’s place as Israeli Religious Affairs Minister.

David Azulai passed away at 64 years old.
