İshak Alaton was born on September 2, 1927, in Istanbul and died on September 11, 2016.

He was a Turkish businessman and investor of Jewish descent.

Alaton was a founding partner of the Alarko group of companies.

İshak Alaton completed his high school education respectively at Şişli Terakki High School and Saint Michel French High School and graduated in 1946.

After he had completed his military service in Polatlı, Ankara, he went to Sweden to work as a welder in Motala Verkstad’s locomotive factory in 1951.

At the same time, he attended engineering drawing courses.

After he completed his courses, he continued to work as an industrial designer at the same company until 1954.

In that same year, İshak Alaton returned to Turkey and founded Alarko Company together with Üzeyir Garih.

İshak Alaton was the chairman of the board at Alarko Holding.

He died due to heart failure.

İshak Alaton passed away at 89 years old.
