Seymour Crawford was born on June 1, 1944, and died on October 21, 2018.

He was an Irish former Fine Gael politician.

Seymour Crawford was appointed Teachta Dála (TD) for the Cavan–Monaghan constituency from 1992 to 2011.

He was first elected to the 27th Dáil at the 1992 general election and was re-elected to Dáil Éireann at 1997, 2002 and 2007 general elections.

Crawford was a member of Monaghan County Council from June 1991 until September 2003.

Crawford was a Vice-Chairman of the British-Irish Inter-Parliamentary Body in 2004 and a member from 1993–2007.

Crawford was Vice-President of the Irish Farmers’ Association from 1984–88 and was the only Ulster Protestant and Presbyterian member of the Oireachtas during his term in the Dáil.

Crawford received the Bastow Memorial Award for service in meat and livestock in 1985.

During the 2011 Crawford retired from politics, at the time of the general election.

He passed away at 74 years old.
