Thomas Neville was born in 1939, in Fethard-on-Sea, County Wexford, and died on October 19, 2018.

He was an Irish hurler.

Tom Neville played as a right cornerback for the Wexford senior team.

He took up competitive hurling during his youth.

In the 1960 championship, Neville made his senior debut for the Wexford senior team.

Then, he earned a key part for Wexford during a successful era for the county and won two All-Ireland medals, five Leinster medals, and one National Hurling League medal.

Tom Neville was an All-Ireland runner-up on three occasions.

Neville was a member of the Leinster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, he won three Railway Cup medals.

Tom won one championship medal with Geraldine O’Hanrahan’s, during club level

Whilst a player, he made 27 championship appearances.

Tom Neville’s retired after Wexford’s defeat by Kilkenny in the 1972 championship.

He is known as one of Wexford’s greatest-ever players.

At the time of his death, he was said to be between 78-79 years old.

Tom Neville passed away in October 2018.
