Iranian football player Iraj Danaeifard was born on March 11, 1951, and died on December 12, 2018.
Danaeifard played most of his career for Taj (currently Esteghlal) and also Iran national football team.
He became involved in football very early.
Danaeifard’s father, Ali Danaeifard was one of the founders of Taj SC football club.
Danaeifard became famous in Iran while playing for the club, winning the Iranian league in 1971.
Danaeifard also played for Oghab F.C. and Pas F.C., in 1977, where he could win the Iranian Takht Jamshid.
Danaeifard returned to Taj, in 1977.
Danaeifard relocated to the United States and started playing for the NASL team in 1980, the Tulsa Roughnecks.
Danaeifard remained in the club until 1984 when the league folded and retired from football soon after that.
Iraj Danaeifard passed away at 67 years old.
