Indian academic, Prabhat Nalini Das, Died at 91

Prabhat Nalini Das died on November 14, 2018.

She was a leading and celebrated Indian academic from Odisha.

She filled in as a teacher of English and leader of the English Department at Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University, New Delhi, and Ranchi University and Utkal University.

Prabhat Nalini Das additionally was the specific first Director/Dean of the Humanities Division at IIT Kanpur, and the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the North Eastern Hill University, a Central University, India set up by a demonstration of the Parliament of India.

She hitched Professor Bidhu Bhusan Das.

Das’ folks were Krishna Priya Devi and Professor Radha Krushna Das, who was an educator of Physics and leader of the office at Ravenshaw University, and a schoolmate, dear companion and associate of Albert Einstein’s partner, Satyendranath Bose, of the Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata.

They had a place with a highborn, Zamindar family from Puri area in Odisha.

Her youngsters are Prajna Paramita, the principal young lady from Orissa to fit the bill for both the tip top Indian Administrative Service and Indian Foreign Service, (deciding on the last as she put among the best hopefuls); Oopali Operajita, guide to India’s Parliamentary pioneers and world pioneers, ecological legend, and a Distinguished Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University; and famous traditional Odissi and Bharatanatyam artist and choreographer; and creator Ashutosh Sheshabalaya, who composed the hit, Rising Elephant.

Prabhat Nalini Das passed away at 91 years old.
