Ideler Tonelli, Argentine politician, Died at 91

Ideler Santiago Tonelli was born December 18, 1924, in Bragado, Buenos Aires, and died on August 10, 2016.
He was an Argentine lawyer and politician.
Tonelli served as Minister of Labor from 1987 to 1989, during the presidency of Raúl Alfonsín.
Ideler became a lawyer after passing the civil service exam. He served as a national deputy between 1958 and 1962.
In Alfonsin’s presidency, he wasn’t merely the labor minister, but also the justice minister as well.
During that position, Tonelli wrote the text of the Law of Due Obedience, which placed the responsibility for the crimes of the dictatorship on military commanders.
He held another important federal post, as federal inspector of the province of Corrientes between February and December 1993.
Tonelli’s son Paul is a national deputy.
Ideler Tonelli passed away at 91 years old.
