Horace Burrell, Jamaican soccer executive, Died at 67

Horace G. Burrell was born on February 8, 1950 and died on June 6, 2017.

He also known as Captain Burrell.

He was the president of the Jamaica Football Federation, and a Vice-President of CONCACAF.

Burrell was also the founder of the Jamaican restaurant chain The Captain’s Bakery and Grill and Captain’s Aviation Services which he founded in 1995 and 2008 respectively.

He had four children, one of whom, Tahj, predeceased him.

Burrell served as President of the Jamaica Football Federation between 1994 and 2003, and from 2007 until his death.

He had been battling cancer since 2016.

He was undergoing treatment at the Johns Hopkins Cancer Treatment Center in Baltimore, Maryland.

Horace G. Burrell passed away at 67 years old.
