Hong Kong entrepreneur, Walter Kwok, Died at 67

Kwok Ping-sheung, Walter was born on October 25, 1950, and died on October 20, 2018.

He was a Hong Kong entrepreneur.

He was the eldest son of Kwok Tak Seng and Kwong Siu-thing.

Himself and brothers Thomas and Raymond, they inherited Sun Hung Kai Properties, Hong Kong’s largest real estate developer, in 1990 following their father’s death.

He served as a former chairman and CEO of that organization, negotiated his departure from the family firm in 2010.

Walter Kwok mother remains the controlling shareholder of the company, whilst his brothers manage the firm.

The brothers named the third wealthiest people in Hong Kong and Greater China Region, just after Li Ka Shing and Lee Shau Kee.

In 2018, the Kwok family is the third richest family in Asia, with a net worth of US$40.4 billion.

He had two sons, Geoffrey Kwok and Jonathan Kwok, and a daughter.

Walter Kwok passed away at 67 years old, two months after a stroke in August.
