Harry Jay Katz died on February 23, 2016.

He was an American businessman.

He was famously known for reopening the magnificent Erlanger Theater at 21st and Market Streets in the late 1960s as a nightclub, café and venue for theater productions.

He was nicknamed ‘Philadelphia playboy’ by the press.

His wife was Julia Mae Levin, in 1964, they tied the knot, but eventually the couple divorced while he was working as a Banker, and apparently after visiting a Playboy Club in Chicago change his whole life.

They couple had two children.

After that, he worked various jobs as a publisher, broadcaster, columnist, restaurateur and love’s the celebrity lifestyle.

Although his family was rich, he had refused to spend their wealth.

Also in 1995, the drowning of Valerie Sheridan in his hot tub was all over the papers.

Reportedly, he left behind his wife, four children, and seven grandchildren.

Harry Jay Katz passed away at 75 yrs old.
