Haro Senft was born on September 27, 1928, and died on February 4, 2016.

He was a German filmmaker who was one of the founders of the New German Cinema movement.

Haro’s short documentary film, “Kahl” was about the Kahl Nuclear Power Plant, which earned nomination for Short Subject Documentary Academy Award, in 1961.

He received the Berlinale Camera award at the Berlin International Film Festival, in 2013.

Haro Senft passed away at 87 yrs old.
