Hans Rosling was born on July 27, 1948, and died on February 7, 2017.

He was a Swedish physician, academic, statistician, and public speaker.

Rosling was the Professor of International Health at Karolinska Institutet and was the co-founder and chairman of the Gapminder Foundation, which developed the Trendalyzer software system.

Hans held presentations around the world, including several TED Talks in which he promoted the use of data to explore development issues.

Hans Rosling passed away at 68 years old.
