Gyang Pwajok was Born on March 15, 1966, in Jos Plateau State, and died on October 28, 2015 from a kidney disease..

He had his primary education at the Jos Township Primary School from 1972 to1977 and obtained his secondary education at Saint Murumba College, Jos between 1977 and 1982.

Gyang a former senator, was the governorship candidate of the PDP in the 2015 general election.

He narrowly lost the election to Simon Lalong of the All Progressives Congress.

Gyang was also the immediate past senator for the Plateau northern senatorial district.

Mr. Pwajok succeeded late Senator Gyang Dantong, who died of shock while attending a mass burial of persons killed by insurgents in Barkinladi in 2012.

Gyang passed away at age 49 in October 2015.
