Gottfried Honegger was born on June 12, 1917, and died on January 17, 2016.

He was a Swiss artist and graphic designer.

Gottfried was married to the Swiss illustrator Warja Lavater.

Gottfried studied shop-window display at the Zurich Kunstgewerbeschule and taught there from 1948.

Mr.Honegger early work was commercial graphic design.

Mr. Honegger was the art director at Geigy, from 1955-1958.

Gottfried Honegger lived in New York between 1958 and 1960 and held his first exhibition there.

He moved to Paris and concentrated on painting, in 1961, which concentrated on exacting explorations of circles and squares, and (from 1968), sculpture.

Honegger also spent time in Dallas, Texas as the artist in residence at the University of Dallas.

Gottfried Honegger passed away at 98 yrs old.
