Giuseppe De Andrea, Italian-born American Roman Catholic prelate, Died at 86

Giuseppe De Andrea was born on April 4, 1930, and died on June 29, 2016.

He was an Italian-born American Roman Catholic archbishop.

De Andrea was ordained to the priesthood on June 21, 1953, De Andrea worked in Kenya from 1956 to 1958.

Giuseppe De Andrea was then incardinated into the Roman Catholic Diocese of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, in 1958, and served in parishes and other institutions for twenty years.

He served in the Vatican permanent observer staff at the United States and in the Pontifical Council for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerants in 1994.

During 2001, he was appointed titular archbishop of Anzio and then served as apostolic nuncio for Kuwait, Yemen, Bahrain, and the Arabian Peninsula. De Andrea retired in 2005.

Giuseppe De Andrea passed away in Rome.
