Gilberto Jiménez Narváez born, February 18, 1937 and died October 20, 2015.

He was a Roman Catholic bishop.

Gilberto Jiménez Narváez was ordained to the priesthood in 1963.

He was appointed bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Riohacha, Colombia in 1996 and then auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Medellin in 2001 retiring in 2012.

Narváez parents were Paulino Jiménez and Inés Narváez.

His siblings are; Alvaro, Libardo, Neila, Guillermo, Nubia, Gustavo Ivan (priest of the Archdiocese of Medellin), Libya, and Alberto Alba.

His Baptism, Confirmation and First Communion celebrated in the parish church of Nuestra Senora del Carmen in his hometown.

Gilberto Jiménez Narváez completed his primary studies in the School of Abejorral Dionisio Arango Mejia, the secondary in the Minor Seminary of Medellin, the philosophy and theology at the Seminary of the same city.

Gilberto Jiménez Narváez passed away at his home in Medellin on October 20, 2015.
