German politician, Fritz Wittmann, Died at 85

Dr. Fritz Wittmann was born on March 21, 1933, in Plan be Marienbad, in Czechoslovakia’s Egerland and died on October 17, 2018.

He was a German politician (CSU) and lawyer.

Wittmann was a member of the German Parliament (first elected in 1971).

At that time, Wittmann represented Munich North and president of the Federation of Expellees (Bund der Vertriebenen) from 1994-1998.

Wittmann was succeeded as president of the federation by Erika Steinbach (CDU).

Wittmann served as a colonel in the reserve and recipient of the Badge of Honour of the Bundeswehr in Gold.

Fritz Wittmann passed away at 85 years old.
