Rolf Hoppe was born on December 6, 1930, in Ellrich and died on November 14, 2018, in Dresden.

He was a German film and stage actor.

Hoppe was conceived as a child of an ace bread cook in Ellrich, Thuringia, Germany.

After his apprenticeship as a pastry specialist, he worked from 1945 to 1948 as a coachman.

Hoppe at that point started preparing as an on-screen character in Erfurt and worked in the carnival Aeros.

Hoppe later performed at Thalia Theater in Halle (Saale) and at the Young World Theater in Leipzig.

Hoppe acted at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden, the Deutsches Theater in Berlin, and the Salzburg Festival.

Hoppe was universally dynamic in Switzerland, Italy, Poland, and China.

In the East German DEFA motion pictures, Hoppe regularly played scoundrels, every now and again in various Osterns.

One of his most outstanding jobs was that of the Tábornagy (Hermann Göring) in Mephisto, which was granted the 1981 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.

He resided in Weißig in Dresden.

Hoppe was hitched and has two girls.
