Gerardo Unzueta Lorenzana was born on October 3, 1925 in Tampico, Tamaulipas and died on January 10, 2016.
He was a Mexican journalist, essayist and novelist political.
Gerardo studied law and arts.
Lorenzana has participated in several trade union movements such as agriculture in the seventies, in addition to being imprisoned during the student movement in Mexico in 1968 as sympathetic to the movement.
Gerardo was one of the founders of the Union of Workers of the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
Lorenzana was federal deputy for the Mexican Communist Party and the Left Coalition 1979 to 1982, the Unified Socialist Party of Mexico from 1982 to 1985 and from 1985 to 1988 and parliamentary coordinator of the Federal District of 1997 to the year 2000.
Lorenzana has led the La Voz de Mexico, opposition and is, unity and July 6, organ of diffusion of the Mexican Communist Party, the Unified Socialist Party of Mexico, the Mexican Socialist Party and the Party of the Democratic Revolution, respectively.
Gerardo Unzueta Lorenzana has edited and contributed to magazines Situation Report and was editor of El Popular and columnist for El Universal since 1985.
Some of his work include; Eight views on the Marxist theory of the state ( 1993 ), The largest and the Devil ( 2001), Julia and her two coffins ( 2004 ) and many more.
Gerardo Unzueta Lorenzana passed away at 90 yrs old.
