Georgie Lamon was born on November 11, 1934. in Lens VS, Switzerland and died on January 16, 2016, in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
He was a Swiss manager, author, and politician (SP).
He came from a family with eight children.
Lamon studied first in France, later special education in Fribourg.
Georgie presided over the Valais Section of the Swiss Association for the mentally handicapped (ASA) and was involved until his retirement in 1997 for the professional integration of disabled persons (Office Romand d’intégration professionnelle pour handicapés, ORIPH, later ORIF).
During the 80’s, Lamon was chairman of the SP in Siders and responsible for public relations and a member magazine of the SP in the Valais.
From the year 1989 to 2001, he was a Member of the Valais cantonal parliament, the legislative authority of the canton.
Mr.Lamon was also Chairman of the Friends of his hometown Lens VS, about which he has published numerous writings.
In the 90’s, he was involved in a project for literacy and education of children in the West African Burkina Faso, where he, among other victims along with in Ouagadougou on January 16, 2016, Jean-Noël Rey, victims of an Islamist terrorist attack was.
Georgie Lamon was married to Marie-Hélène, she died in 2005, from the marriage two children.
Georgie Lamon passed away at 81 yrs old.
