Georges de Paris, born in 1934 and died September 13, 2015 from brain tumor.

He was a French-American tailor who is often referred to as the President of the United States’ unofficial tailor or the tailor to the Presidents.

Georges has made suits for every American President since Lyndon Johnson.

Georges de Paris was born in Marseille and came to Washington, D.C with a young woman and after their separation found himself homeless, reportedly bathing in the Potomac.

He managed to save money to buy himself a sewing machine and his reputation grew until President Johnson ordered his suits.

Georges also enjoys taking breaks throughout the day for wine and cheese and especially after work at the Washington, D.C. restaurant Old Ebbitt Grill.

Georges de Paris died at age 81 on September 13, 2015.
