George Beall was born on August 17, 1937, in Frostburg, Maryland, and died on January 15, 2017.

He was a prominent U.S. attorney.

Beall was most widely known for prosecuting Vice President of the United States, Spiro T. Agnew, for bribery.

His prosecution led to Agnew’s resignation as Vice President in 1973.

His parents, U.S. Senator J. Glenn Beall and the former Margaret Schwarzenbach.

Beall was one of three sons, the eldest being U.S. Senator John Glenn Beall Jr.

He received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.

George Beall passed away at 79 years old.
