Gennady Fedorovich Tsygurov was born on April 14, 1942, and died on December 14, 2016.

He was a Russian professional ice hockey coach and former player.

Gennady played for Traktor Chelyabinsk from 1959 to 1977 in the Soviet Championship League.

From 1979 to 1984, Tsygurov served as head coach of Traktor.

Tsygurov has also served as the coach of SC Uritskogo Kazan, Avangard Omsk, Lada Togliatti, HK MVD Balashikha, Kristall Saratov and Saryarka Karaganda.

Tsygurov was the father of the professional ice hockey player Denis Tsygurov.

Gennady Tsygurov passed away at 74 years old.
