Geir Tore Myhre was born on April 7, 1954, and died on July 22, 2016.

He was a Norwegian ice hockey player and coach.

Geir played for the Norwegian national ice hockey team.

He took part in the Winter Olympics in 1980 and 1984.

Myhre was Norwegian champion with three different clubs, in 1976, 1982 and 1984.

Geir was awarded Gullpucken as best Norwegian ice hockey player in 1980 and 1982.

Myhre had coached the Norwegian national team from 1994 to 1996.
