Garnet Samuel “Sam” Richardson was born on November 6, 1933, and died on January 21, 2016.

He was a Canadian curler.

Garnet played second for the “World famous Richardsons”, which won four Briers and four World Curling Championships.

His team consisted of two brothers, skip Ernie and Wes and their two cousins, Arnold and Garnet.

His team won the year 1959, 1960, 1962 and 1963 Briers as well as their corresponding Scotch Cups (the World Championship at the time).

Mr.Richardson lived most of his life in Regina, Saskatchewan, where he had a lengthy illness.

Garnet Richardson passed away at 82 yrs old.
